Long. KMC Eagles Hockey is a volunteer-run amateur ice hockey club for the Kaiserslautern Military Community, the largest U.S. military community outside the United States. Its members come from every branch of the U.S. military, their families, Department of Defense civilians and contractors, NATO personnel and the surrounding German towns; no military affiliation is required. Founded in 2004 and heir to a line of military teams in Zweibrücken that began with the Royal Canadian Air Force Flyers in 1953, the club competes in the Die Players Liga, in friendly games and in tournaments across Europe. Its honours include 3 DPL Division I championships, most recently in 2024, and 10 Armed Forces championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Each autumn the club hosts the Cuddeback Memorial Cup in memory of Airman First Class Zachary Cuddeback, killed in 2011. The club is a private organization with no governmental status.
